Abstract

Optical sensors based on plasmonics such as Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR), Localized surface Plasmon Resonance (LSPR) and Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) are being widely used. The cores of all these sensors are (1) nanofilm and nanostructures with capability of large electromagnetic field enhancement and (2) optical detection methodology. In the research lab, the efforts are being made to develop low cost plasmonic sensors for wide range of applications.
