Manipal Journal of Nursing and Health Sciences

MJNHS

Editorial

The findings of the research are a guiding force for developing and implementing the new policies for the welfare of the society. The editorial team of Manipal Journal of Nursing and Health Sciences (MJNHS) believes in disseminating value based quality research studies. The Volume 4, Issue 1 (January 2018) of Manipal journal of Nursing and Health Sciences focuses on different spheres of healthcare issues. We have considered the original research articles, which are: 1. Focusing on clinical decision-making skills among nurses; 2. Integrating the sixth sense in providing nursing care through inter-sensory perception model; 3. Factors associated with behavioral problems among children receiving antiepileptic drugs; 4. Bonding between mothers with mental illness and their infants; 5. Perceptions about ethical role responsibilities in realities of nursing practice; and 6. Using APACHE II score among patients admitted to the ICUs. We have also considered two review papers: • Oral care practices among orally intubated patients; and • Associated risk factors of postnatal depression in South Asian region for this issue. Three case reports of rare condition add lure to this issue. The editorial team invites the healthcare professionals to contribute generously in the form of research/original articles, review papers and case reports. We are grateful to all the authors and reviewers for their untiring support rendered towards bringing out this issue. Dr Baby S Nayak
