Abstract

The dynamic ocean environment is associated with extreme wind and waves. Prediction of these parameters are useful for engineers for the planning and executing of coastal development projects. The vast Indian coastline has tremendous potential to harness offshore renewable energy. The increase in sea level as a result of global warming is creating challenges along the coastal regions. Hence, my research focuses on long-term wind-wave climate considering climate change studies. The studies also include shoreline stabilization, estimation of potential ocean energy and coastal protection works.
