Computer vision and artificial intelligence in medical image analysis applications for the diagnostics
Computer vision and artificial intelligence applications in medicine are becoming increasingly important day by day, especially in the field of image technology. Different artificial intelligence advances tackle some of the most essential worldwide medical problems. The research area includes the detection of pathogenic bacteria and cell patterns from the image modalities such as microscopy images HEp2 cell patterns and histopathology which provide the diagnosis of infection and disease disorder detection. A variety of methods, ranging from enhancement, detection, segmentation, and characterizations of anatomical structures of bacteria, cells, and cancer lesions to complete systems that automatically identify and classify several diseases in order to aid clinical diagnosis and treatment. Solutions using computer vision and artificial intelligence to build systems that are able to solve more complex problems that assist medical diagnosis.
