Abstract
The Taliban is in power for the second time, and it has raised questions regarding the liberty and human rights situation in Afghanistan. The imposition of Sharia law has had the observers worrying about women and the minority communities like Hindus, Sikhs, Hazara Shias. in Afghanistan. The women have to face severe restrictions especially their movements outside their homes. All the female bureaucrats and ministers from the previous government have been relieved of their duties. Educational institutions have reopened, but with strict restrictions regarding not to mingle with men. The Taliban has announced to give everyone liberty according to Sharia law.
