Abstract
· HPTLC method was used to standardization and to quantify the diosgenin in Trigonella foenum-graecum (PE-TFG) seed extract
· PE-TFG was tested in ovariectomized rats for inflammatory markers such as leptin, TNF-α, adiponectin, PPAR-γ and α-smooth muscle actin.
· Inflammatory markers were significantly attenuated by PE-TFG which is also confirmed by histopathology and immunohistochemistry
