Abstract
Amidst the political turbulence that is unfolding in Afghanistan, it becomes necessary to revisit and assess the attempts made by actors like the United States and Russia to foster certain grouping or a coalition with regional stakeholders and neighbouring countries. However, the success of any groupings would depend upon which grouping could navigate the rapid shift of power in Kabul, and help shape the future of Afghanistan.
