Abstract

In this study we analysed the satisfaction level of trainees of EDPs of Rural Development and Self-Employment Training Institutes (RUDSETIs) with special reference to select districts of Karnataka in India. The crucial problem is how far the entrepreneurship development programmes are effective in terms of its effect on satisfaction level of trainees. The research work is based on the data gathered from the primary data sources such as interactions with the RUDSETIs’ officials and opinion collected through questionnaire method from 386 alumni of the Ujire, Dharwad and Brahmavar institutes who have got the training during the period from 2014-15 to 2017-18 and established enterprises. In selecting the sample size of 386 from among 10,550 candidates trained during the study period, the researcher went by the Yamane’s criterion (1967). The analysis was done using SPSS 17 package. One Sample test was used to test the hypothesis and to draw inferences. The study identified that respondents of all EDPs were highly satisfied. This research work will be beneficial to policy makers of RUDSETIs and the prospective trainees for getting the benefits of better programs in the future.
