Abstract
The main objective of the study is to design an underground drainage system for the residential layout of the Vijayanagar layout of the Mysore city. Sanitary Sewer Network is an essential part of society. The primary purpose of setting up a sewer system is to transport wastewater (from residential/ industrial area) and stormwater to the treatment plants so that it does not cause any problem to the public health. It was concluded that the Conventional Gravity Sewer System should not be adopted; instead, other technologies like Vacuum Sewer System or Pressure Sewer System should be adopted. A separate treatment plant should also be installed near the area.
