Abstract
During the routine dissection procedure, an accessory axillary artery was observed which came out as a branch from the subclavian artery along with the axillary artery. This accessory axillary artery gave branches that otherwise the normal axillary artery would give. The subclavian artery gave an aberrant branch apart from the usual axillary artery, which was giving subscapular artery, thoraco-acromial artery, superior thoracic artery, lateral thoracic artery and posterior circumflex humeral arteries. This trunk can be considered as an aberrant axillary artery. This type of vascular variation is enlightening to the clinicians, surgeons and radiologists. This variation might pose difficulty during the reconstruction of breast, brachial plexus block and the ligation of the axillary artery.
