Abstract
The components of profiled steel decking slab are profiled steel sheet with normal weight concrete, and minimum reinforcement for shrinkage stresses. Nowadays, composite slabs are becoming popular for high-rise office structures due to faster construction, where the structural requirement for fire protection is at a medium level. However, there are no Indian standard codes of practice available for design principles and guidelines for composite floors with profiled sheeting. In this paper, a design guideline for profiled steel decking composite slab is proposed with limit state approach, as per Indian standard.
