Abstract
This study investigates the application of artificial intelligence (AI)-based technologies in adaptive sports, with a focus on the relation between AI-based technologies and sports performance, physical health, and psychological well-being among athletes with disabilities (AWD). Data collected from 210 AWD were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling, showing a statistically significant positive association between the use of AI and sports performance (β = 0.50, p < 0.05), physical health (β = 0.68, p < 0.001), and psychological well-being (β = 0.55, p = 0.01). These findings highlight the potential of AI to enhance performance outcomes, health, and psychological resilience among AWD. The study offers relevant insights for AWD, sports organizations, policymakers and technology developers aiming to leverage AI innovations in disability sports.
