Abstract
Endometrial stromal sarcomas often mimic uterine fibroids with the common clinical presentation of heavy menstrual bleeding and the sonological finding of a defined mass lesion/s in the uterus. It is mostly encountered in the 5th decade of life. Being extremely uncommon in adolescents, it poses a diagnostic challenge due to rarity and histological similarities with other sarcomas. This case report on high grade endometrial stromal sarcoma in an adolescent girl throws light on the dilemmas at various levels of evaluation and management.
