Abstract

Study Background: This study investigates how the experience of attending the Udupi Paryaya Festival affects visitors' subjective well-being. It explores the centrality of the festival experience in visitors' lives and its impact on their satisfaction and overall happiness.

Research Goals and Hypotheses: The research captures data on emotional engagement, cultural significance, and personal fulfillment associated with the festival through surveys and interviews. The study underscores that participation in religious festivals contributes significantly to psychological and emotional well-being, enhancing the visitors' overall sense of fulfillment. These insights highlight the value of cultural and religious traditions in improving mental health and underscore the importance of preserving such events for their positive impact on individual well-being.

Methodological Approach: Data were collected through surveys and interviews with attendees of the Udupi Paryaya Festival. The study assessed various aspects of the festival experience, including emotional engagement, cultural significance, and personal fulfillment. Analysis focused on the relationship between the perceived centrality of the festival and visitors' reported levels of satisfaction and well-being.
