Abstract

Various studies on a novel strain Bacillus sonorensis revealed potential enzyme production and their use in different sectors that includes food industries, waste management and medical sector. As industrially important microorganism, Bacillus licheniformis shows close relation to Bacillus sonorensis, about which little information is established. It is thus expected that, the information gained about enzymes from the novel microorganism under experimentation will prove beneficial towards investigating the biotechnological significance of the microorganism, and the genomics and phylogenetic importance in relation to members belonging to Bacillus subtilis group.

Findings: The summarization about significant enzymes obtained from the organism including hyper thermostable alkaline lipase, L-asparaginase, keratinase, complex cellulase and pectinase shows medical significance, environment friendly waste management and essential ecological process. The potential for commercial usage of microbial enzymes has risen dramatically and continues to rise, as enzymes hold enormous promise for many industries in meeting the demands of a fast-growing population and coping with natural resource exhaustion. Whether it is in pharmaceuticals, detergent manufacture, the leather industry, or waste management, enzymes demonstrate their enormous potential. Bacillus sonorensis, a novel strain on which research began in the early 2000s, has shown to have meaningful potential in terms of biomolecules produced, and these microbial enzymes are successfully used in various industrial sector for better quality-assured production at a faster reaction rate along with minimal pollution and improved cost efficiency. Advancements in promising domains like biotechnology, molecular biology, and microbiology will offer new techniques for enhancement of the enzymes still-unexplored capabilities, allowing researchers to gain a better understanding of Bacillus sonorensis.
