Abstract
The design of a microstrip patch antenna of rectangular shape has been presented in this article. Its operation has been demonstrated at low frequencies of resonance. The designed antenna is compact with resonant frequencies of 1.96 (Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)), 3.08 and 3.82GHz (Wireless Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX)). The antenna resonates at a-10dB impedance bandwidth, uses a FR4 Epoxy as substrate which has a dielectric constant of 4.4. The transmission lines used for the excitation of the rectangular patch have a specifically designed length and breadth. The gain, radiation pattern and S-Parameters are obtained as results via simulation in the ANSYS HFSS Software.
