Abstract
3D diagnostic tools (CT/MRI) at present obtain the 3D model of spine in supine position which is inaccurate for the problem like scoliosis. The scoliosis is a 3D deformity of spine which is diagnosed at present using 2D x-rays. Scoliosis is a sideways curvature of the spine that occurs most often during the growth spurt just before puberty. While scoliosis can be caused by conditions such as cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy, the cause of most scoliosis is unknown. We are planning to obtain the 3D model of spine using frontal and lateral x-rays. This model can be used for the proper diagnosis of the patient. This will also help in planning the treatment.
