Abstract
The fiber-metal laminates designed as per gradation of shock impedance for ply-based grading. The laminates were subjected to shock impact using nitrogen and helium driver gases. The extent of shock attenuation and absorption with minimal out-of-plane deformation were the key metrics for performance assessments of the various laminates.
