Abstract
The challenge to prevent the counterfeiting of documents and the development of flexible printed electronics are two thrust research areas that demand innovative techniques. Various organic molecules and carbondots are synthesized and characterized as fluorescent pigments in security inks. Further they are printed and the properties of the print proofs are studied for their anti-counterfeiting application. In yet another work, organic molecules are prepared for their biological application as gas sensors.
