Abstract
In Israel and Palestine, more than an entire generation has been raised knowing nothing else but a perpetual state of war with the other. The conflict contains two completely different narratives, narratives of victimization, oppression and hate. The recent escalation of tensions into armed conflict occurred along the Gaza strip, in 2021. A ceasefire was agreed on 21 May between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas. Various narratives are usually spread on social media during such times, and this research piece studies some of the violent incidents that influenced the citizens at the time, but were later proved to be fabricated.
