Abstract

With the Talibans taking over control of the Parliament in 2021, right after USA withdrew its troops, a sense of hollow despair masked the entire nation. Even in a country with low internet penetration, around 11.5 per cent, Afghanistan's online presence and infrastructure is key to its future. It's also vital for its people as they try to stay connected to the outside world. This reseacrh piece analyses the slow and steady evolution of internet in Afghanistan, and the only difference from 1996 being the access to the internet even during these dire times, that is letting the world know the real situation in the country right from citizens themselves.
