Abstract
Innumerable sanctions from the UN have failed to stop the illicit growth of North Korea's cyber capabilities. It growth has continued to baffle the world as countries scramble to find consensus on cybersecurity protocols. North Korea has moved quickly to expand its cyber capabilities both at home and abroad. It is now only secondary to China and Russia in terms of being a cyber threat. This reseacrh is an assessment of its rise from being just a nuisance to its neighbours to an international threat to cyber security.
