Practice of health care requires that the members need to generate evidences and use current best evidences in decision making about the care of the patients. Structuring and sharing evidences is essential component of health care practice. To consider it as best research evidence, the findings should be clinically relevant and methodologically sound. Evidence-based practice provides opportunities for nursing care to be more individualized and dynamic. To maintain pace with the latest technological advances and take advantage of new knowledge development, we need evidences to define best practices. The second issue of Manipal Journal of Nursing and Health Sciences is in your hand which features on interesting articles. In this issue, we have included articles in all spheres of nursing discipline such as community health, maternal health, adolescent’s problems, chronic illness such as chronic renal failure, HIV/AIDS, Parkinson’s disease and cardiac surgery. Two case reports present the rare clinical cases, which add charm to this issue.
